Welcome to my site! It lists every song that has ever entered the official Top 100 Singles Chart in Australia since 1950. Over 82% of those songs have streaming audio which can be played as individual tracks or via one of the site's many jukeboxes/playlists. Being able to hear the songs can be helpful for people who don't always know the name of songs that they like or have heard. I created this site to help people reconnect with songs that they've liked from the past and to discover many more! |

ReplyDeleteWhat a great site. Thank you for making this available and putting in the effort to assemble all of this fantastic music. Bookmarked on my PC now :)
Do you have any plans to make this content available for streaming on iOS devices? It would be fantastic to have this work on my iPad too.
Cheers
John
Hey John,
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting me know that my audio doesn't stream on iOS devices. I don't own an iPad, iPhone or iPod so I had no idea that there were issues. After doing some research, it appears that I need to update my JW Player to the latest version and write separate HTML5 code to make it more compatible with iOS.
This still means that Flash will be required as the JW Player is the only web-based software that I know of that's free and properly plays the low-bitrate optimised version of AAC (.m4a) audio that my site streams. MP3 is a poor option at ~32kbps bitrates sadly.
Updating the player and all the lists is a huge task though. Sometime in the near future, I hope to rewrite all the player and list code in such a way that the player can be updated (or even replaced) and the player or list code can be changed without having to edit all 139 lists on the site. lol
Regards,
Grant
