Welcome to my site! It lists every song that has ever entered the official Top 100 Singles Chart in Australia since 1950. Over 82% of those songs have streaming audio which can be played as individual tracks or via one of the site's many jukeboxes/playlists. Being able to hear the songs can be helpful for people who don't always know the name of songs that they like or have heard. I created this site to help people reconnect with songs that they've liked from the past and to discover many more!

Hopefully these lists can help people increase their music collections now that many songs are easily downloadable from iTunes, Amazon, etc. All of the lists have accurate AMR/ARIA chart information. Also featured on the site are my personal top singles lists plus the top selling singles in Australia for each year and decade from 1950 onwards. There's also top singles of all time lists and plenty more!!

  2. I notice that Foo Fighters latest single, Shame Shame, hasn't made it into the ARIA Top 100 this year, they are a 25 year old band after all. I was just wondering if it made it onto any of the subsidiary charts like the ARIA Download chart if it still exists ? and where to find it ? The ARIA reports don't seem to have been uploaded to the National Library of Australia's Trove for a long time: https://webarchive.nla.gov.au/tep/23790

  3. Sadly, I believe ARIA have chosen to stop sending their reports to Trove/Pandora. Shame Shame did enter the ARIA Top 50 Digital Tracks chart at #40 this week. Email me for more info. :)

  4. Hey, I was just wondering if the Nirvana song Something in the Way made it into the ARIA Digital chart back in August or September this year ? It made the UK Download and US Digital charts back in September when it was used in a soundtrack for the new Batman film. My last request. Cheers.

  5. Sadly, Something in the Way never entered the ARIA Top 50 Digital Tracks chart or any other ARIA chart. It's actually my favourite Nirvana song (boy does it has some competition, as every song on Nevermind is a winner and much of In Utero too) so I would have loved to see it chart. Given that it was never released as a single, it's heartening to see it getting some exposure, especially to younger audiences. :)

  6. Hi Grant, Are you able to confirm if your pop-up player and jukebox will continue to function after the removal of flash player on Dec 31st? If not, will there be a replacement for the music player component of your website?

    1. Hi Adam. The player has a HTML5 mode which I'll switch to after I've rewritten some code, but there will be some functionality loss for many browsers and some won't be able to play the audio at all. I've been researching alternative solutions for over a year now but they require certain compromises for maximum browser compatibility, such as, encoding the audio in multiple formats, which would require double or triple the web space.

The road might be a bit rocky leading into the New Year but, as they say, necessity is the mother of invention - I will always strive to have a working player on the site. Having no streaming audio is not an option! :)

    2. Thanks Grant, I figured you'd already be onto it! I use Chrome and I now have to manually allow flash each time I visit the site in order for the audio to work.
